Frontierville progression tips for beginners

Many of you would have been dumbfounded at some point in Frontierville when you realized you do not have a certain item because either you already cleared it or you just never thought of buying it in the first place. This article highlights some essential things you will have to know as you progress in Frontierville (credits to WJMill in the Zynga Forum for this great information).
1. Do not clear all thorns.

2. Do not clear large trees (they are also a waste of energy in the beginning).

3. Do not turn in collections until you know they are not required for future goals (click here to check out the full quest list).

4. Keep your homestead simple in the beginning, only clear land if it is necessary (e.g. in order to build a cabin).

5. Keep your homestead goal orientated (i.e. only plant crops required for specific goals, only buy animals required for certain goals).

6. Only accept help from neighbors if you really need it.

7. If a varmint appears then only clobber it if it is required for a certain goal. If not, try and place it in an area where it won’t disturb your main farming activities. If one varmint appears then another one will not spawn until the first one is clobbered.
